Current active covid cases crossed 4000 mark by adding 116 cases in past 24 hours.
According to data released by the health ministry, active cases surpassed 4000 on Monday, with 116 new cases added. The death toll stands at 533337, or 1.18% of all cases. The total number of vaccinations received to date is 220,67,79,081.
While the number of covid cases in India is decreasing on a daily basis, the overall number of active cases on Tuesday morning was 4,170. According to Health Ministry data, Karnataka added 92 new active cases and three deaths, while 232 people were recovered and released. Kerala currently has the most active covid 19 cases, with 3096. Karnataka comes in second by a wide margin, with 436 active cases.
Almost 74% of cases are active in Kerala, whereas only 9% are active in Karnataka. Except in four states, the number of current cases in the remaining states is less than 50. The number of instances in 14 states and union territories is zero.
