There will be new title sponsor for tournament in 2024 as contract with Tata has come to an end after 2023 IPL tournament completion.
BCCI invites bids for IPL title sponsorships rights for 2024-28 cycle. On Tuesday night BCCI released tenders for the same. Tata held title sponsorship rights for two years i.e., 2022 and 2023 which was taken from Chinese brand vivo after political tensions between two countries.
The detailed terms and conditions for the tender process, including eligibility requirements, the process of submissions of bids, etc. are available in ITT (Invitation To Tender) document. This document will be available on the receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 5,00,000/- plus GST. This will be available till January, 8, 2024.
Prohibited brands like alcohol, betting, cryptocurrency, real money gaming and tobacco brands will not be eligible for this tender. A report by brand valuation consultancy, total brand value of IPL has surged by 433 percent from 2008 to till now.
